UNIFORM POLICY<\/h3>\n

Rationale:<\/strong><\/p>\n

This Policy has been devised in response to the educational needs of the pupils of St. Kilian\u2019s Senior National School in consultation with staff, parents and Board of Management. It seeks to promote inclusiveness and equality for all pupils.<\/p>\n

Relationship to Ethos:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The wearing of our School Uniform empowers pupils to cultivate personal identity through their individual talents and personality. It contributes to the cultivation of school identity and a sense of pride.<\/p>\n

Pupils are encouraged to present themselves neatly. The wearing of uniform directly influences positive behaviour in school and helps to develop self confidence and self esteem in all pupils.<\/p>\n

Strategies:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The wearing of full uniform is compulsory throughout the school year, except on PE days when our St. Kilian\u2019s tracksuit and a yellow crested St. Kilian\u2019s polo shirt must be worn.<\/p>\n
