Sports Day took place last week with pupils taking part in a number of activities including camogie, cricket, dance, hockey, basketball, soccer, GAA, athletics and even welly throwing with Paul! Thank you to all the coaches, teachers and Paul who helped out at the various stations and a special thank you to Ms Power for coordinating and setting up the whole day.

St Kilian’s Parent’s Association held a Summer Fair in our hall on Friday 16th June with a huge amount of stalls, treats and fun on offer. Thank you to all who volunteered and helped out in any way, our pupils had a wonderful day!

Our impressive school choir performed a number of wonderful songs for the whole school last week in the hall. A huge amount of time and effort went into preparing and practising the songs so we’d like to give a massive thank you to Mr Dignam and Ms O’Sullivan for leading and guiding our choir. Well done all!

6th class pupils had a very active week in the Gaeltacht in Gweedore, Co. Donegal!

Over the last few weeks, 3rd and 4th class pupils took part in the Martin Boland writing competition. Lots of time and effort went into writing stories based on this year’s theme, ‘FUN!’. Today, all pupils were given a prize in the form of a medal while the winners from each class and the overall winners were awarded trophies. Huge thank you to Martin & Elizabeth Boland for sponsoring the event in memory of their son.
